The original Mooney Mite first flew in 1947, powered by a 25HP automobile engine, and later by a Continental A-65 engine. Our short kit was designed by Dennis Sumner, at 1/6 scale with a 54" wingspan, 409 square inches wing area, and 56 ounce weight. The model is designed for 5 channel RC with retracts, and uses a Scorpion 3014/1040kV motor.
The short kit includes laser-cut balsa and plywood parts, printed plans, and a vacuum-formed plastic canopy. The kit includes the parts to make the dummy Continental engine.
