Park-scale model of the Brewster F2A Buffalo fighter aircraft from the early days of World War 2, designed by Paul Kohlmann. The Buffalo was the US Navy's first single-seat monoplane fighter, and saw action at the Battle of Midway. Although quickly dropped from front-line service by the US, variants of the Buffalo saw service with British, Dutch and Finnish air forces. Though it was outclassed against contemporary Japanese fighters, the Buffalo was successfully employed against the Soviet air forces over Finland, producing 36 "Buffalo Aces".
The model is featured in the October 2021 issue of Model Aviation magazine. Plans are available as a free download from the Model Aviation magazine website.
The short kit includes laser-cut balsa and plywood parts and a vacuum-formed plastic canopy. Full-size printed plans can be added to the short kit as an option.
